My Autobiography



My name is Alba Pena. I am originally from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. I was born on March 24, 1978. I speak Spanish as a firs language. I have 4 sisters. They live in Tijuana, Mexico. I studied from technical school. I am Ejective Assistant an. I came to the U.S. in 2007. I have been married for 5 months. I am pregnant. I feel exited God gave me a baby. In my free time I like wash TV. I love my husband. In conclusions I am happy.

My Life in the U.S.


I have in this country only 6 month. Was very sad and difficult because my husband is military and they send to Iraq in last January. I was sad because I missed my family, my friends, but mainly I need my husband. I also had a difficult time with the language, I could not communicated whit others people. I never can’t go single to the hospital because don’t have interprets, this is very frustrating for me. However I am happy because I expecting my first baby. I have a new life and I think to take all the opportunities.

My Favorite Food


There are lost wonderful foods to eat. Some of my favorites are Ceviche de pescado, Gorditas, Tameles, Posole and Mole, Crunchy chips, churros, cool all the fruits and ceviche and hot eggs, tortillas, champurrado and all soup. But if I had to pick a favorite it would be “Posole” is absolutely the firs in my list. The first time I can remember eating Posole was when I was a litter girl with my parents. I not sure who did the cooking. It may been my mom. I will always love it when someone says posole. The last stop is put in the over and enjoy eat it alle ate one.

My Family Traditions




On Christmas all my family goes to my grandmother’s house in Sinaloa Mexico. My fathers live in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico and my uncles too. Also go every Christmas to visit at my grandmother. This is the only time that the all family is together. We eat tamales, posole, bunuelos, champurrado and more. When we finish eating we break the piñata. We open de gifts this night al 12:00 P.M. In conclusion this night is full of fun especially for the children.

My Dream Vacations


To me, I ligh to return to the Mexico, City and I would like go with my husband and visit "El desierto de los Leones", "El Convento de las Vizcainas" and more. Mexico has a big History and is interesting.
Guanajuato is very nice, I would like to go and walk for the way because there is to preserve the history and there aren't poster or spectacular ad. Guanajuato is an incredible city.
